Mere Christianity

Ulrich and I have started reading Mere Christianity by CS Lewis for our evening reading time. We have been so busy and needed to force ourselves to have some winding down time. We were looking for a book and it so happened when we took Eddie down to the corner thrift store to blow off steam and play with some toys, there it was for a quarter. So now we are reading it.

The chapters are very short -- like a page or two. It is written conversationally as it come from a series of radio shows that he did on the BBC back in the early 40s. More or less, it could be re-titled the Original Case for Faith. The book overall presents an argument for the existence of God and more specifically the Christian view of God.

We are only a few pages in but the style reminds me very much of Kelsey... sometimes I can almost hear her voice in the way things are worded.

I'm still down to read something else if you guys want to nominate something or I could post summaries of this book if you want to hear the jest of it without reading. Just thought I would share.
